Guidelines for a custom fit:
- Always measure with a steel tape measure.
- Always measure each window individually, they may vary.
- Your blinds may be mounted inside or outside the window casing,
depending on your style window and preferences.
- Record width first, then height (also referred to as length)
to the nearest 1/8". Make sure to write the results down.
- Double-check all measurements.
- Do not take your own deductions. The factory will take necessary deductions
and allowances.
|
For inside mount - These blinds are installed
inside the window casing. Measure width in three places (top, middle
and bottom) and write down the smallest measurement. Next measure
the height (length) and write down the longest measurement.
Do not make any deductions, our factory
will take the necessary deductions.
|
For outside mount - These blinds are installed
outside the window casing and cover an area larger then the
window itself. Measure exact width and height of the are to
be covered. For length, measure over the top exactly where you
want the blind mount, to the sill. Be sure if there is no sill
you overlap the window frame. The factory will take NO deductions
on an outside mount.

The window depth is important when ordering blinds that require returns.
The amount of space from the face of the window to the outer edge of your opening will
determine the return size you will need to order.
If you want to order returns on your blinds (for those blinds that don't fit
entirely inside the window jam) please follow these guidelines.
|
Our high profile crown valance comes standard at no extra charge and
finishes off the blinds so there is no need for a top treatment.
But if you do want and add a top treatment it will not interfere.
|
- If your mounting depth is approximately 1/2" - order 1 1/2" returns
- If your mounting depth is more then 1/2" - order no returns
- If where you are mounting has no depth (i.e. French doors) - order 3" returns
|
French Doors
Important: If you are ordering blinds for French doors you want to order
the exact width you will need to adequately cover the glass and any
surrounding trim around the glass and you will need to add 3"
to the overall length. If your door glass is surrounded a raised plastic
grid, add the 3" from the outside of the grid for the length only.
This will give you the necessary length to mount the brackets above the glass.
Please note that you are ordering blinds for doors and we will include
"hold down brackets" at no additional charge.
|
Please do not take any deductions when ordering. If you are ordering
an inside mount, we will take the necessary deductions. If you are
ordering for an outside mount, no deductions will be taken.
The blind will be made to your measurement.
