If you’ve been wondering what all the recent changes at Carolina Shutter & Blinds have been about, we’re about to tell you. Long story short: we moved! Our new location is at the Willow Oaks Shopping Center in Mocksville, North Carolina. Why the move? What’s next for Carolina Shutter & Blinds, and what does it mean for your upcoming home project? We’re going to fill you in on everything you need to know in this blog. Let’s get started.
Why Did We Move Our Headquarters to Mocksville, North Carolina?
Simply put, we outgrew our previous space in Winston-Salem. As you know, we manufacture all of our locally made shutters and regionally made blinds. We want to be able to fully serve our customer base, and to do that, we needed a larger space to increase our manufacturing capacities.
More space also means we can expand our window treatment product lines. Our new space is 17,000 square feet, which gives us plenty of room to grow.
Despite the pandemic, 2020 was a year of expansion for our business. In fact, the stay-at-home orders inspired consumers to make changes to their homes that they had been putting off, and all of a sudden everyone wanted to upgrade their shutters and blinds.
We are grateful for the business growth during this challenging time, and we foresee more growth in the future. We are excited to have a new facility to accommodate the business projections we’re seeing in our industry.
The whole team is excited about the move, and all 18 employees made the move with us. We are currently hiring more team members, including installers, consultants, and administrative staff, to manage the growth we’re experiencing.
Carolina Shutter & Blinds Change of Ownership Just in Time for 30th Anniversary
Along with a new space, we also have a new owner. In August 2020, Greg Bangs and John Stackpole purchased Carolina Shutter & Blinds. They previously worked for a nationally marketed window covering company, so they are armed with the experience needed to guide Carolina Shutter & Blinds into the future.
They were looking for a window treatment company that was well established, had a good name, and manufactured their own products, and that’s what they found. Along with serving our North Carolina clients, our new owners want to expand to serve the entire southeast of the United States.
Greg and John took over just before our 30th anniversary, which is coming up this year. We feel proud of our long-standing commitment to high-quality products and serving our community, and we are excited for what the future has in store.
Two New Window Treatment Product Lines Coming
For the last 30 years, we have perfected our line of composite plantation shutters. Every material we use is made in America, and they are built to custom fit our customer’s windows.
In the near future, we are also adding two new shutter product lines. The first will be made out of paintable durable poly resin. This material holds up against moisture, and it can be painted to perfectly match your pre-existing trim.
The next new shutter product line will be made with a new kind of composite material. The patented product is lighter, but it’s just as strong as our original composite shutter line.
Just like our first line, our two new shutter product lines will be 100% manufactured in America. We prioritize supporting American communities, and that is not going to change. We believe that this commitment to locally and regionally made materials is what sets us apart from other shutter and blind manufacturers.
One Job at a Time, One Window at a Time
As we make room for more growth, our commitment to our clientele is just as strong. We prioritize providing an individualized experience for every single customer. Our motto is to work, “one job at a time, one window at a time.”
We guarantee 100% customer satisfaction, and we have 30 years of stellar customer support experience. In fact, we are so committed to quality control that we only sell our products through our own in-house design consultants and installers.
We are the best choice for homeowners who don’t want to do it themselves. Our experts can take the burden off of you and oversee the window treatment project from start to finish. Our clients love working one-on-one with our design consultants and getting windows and shutters that are custom-fitted for their homes.
Our products are designed to last for life. If something goes wrong, we have a customer support team who is always here to help. They will take your call and send someone out to your home to fix the problem quickly.
We are focused on doing right by our customers. Our commitment to our customers over profit is another thing that sets us apart from other companies. Additionally, community engagement is at the heart of our business, and we will maintain that responsibility as we expand into more communities throughout the southeast.
